While I can't speak for the rest of the United States, here in the Pacific Northwest, the summer is definitely ending. I think this will be our last week of warm weather. I suppose one could be be sad, but then you have to think of all the glorious fall fashions that are popping up everywhere. Snazzy knee high leather boots, faux fur coats and angora sweaters! I have just relocated from the wilds of Alki Beach to the concrete jungle of Capitol Hill. And now I can breathe a sigh of relief that it is all over. Moving is exasperating to say the least. You never know how much you actually have untill you have to move it all.

Living in a beach communiy is going to be very different from living in the city and I hope I will be able to adapt. Capitol Hill is vibrant and fire til 2AM. Alki pretty much shuts down by 11PM. But I am ready for it.

After flipping through the August issue of MarieClaire, I was a little let down that fashion magazines that claim to be for all women, still only show women who are 5'10 and weigh all of 120 pounds. Standing a a mere 5'3 in stocking feet, you can understand why I might be a tad put off by these images. Who was this person who decided that the epiotme of beauty fall into one standard? Where is this man? (and come on ladies, we all know it was indeed a man) How I would love to smack him. I am c
